“A Thousand Kisses Deep: The Songs of Leonard Cohen” is the successful creative production of KVMR News Director and foothills promoter/musician, Paul Emery. In 2011, fourteen musicians and one poet assembled for three stellar sold out evenings at the Center for the Arts in Grass Valley and then reprised the event for two similar nights at the Nevada Theatre in Nevada City. The eight-piece band and six singers, all notables from the Grass Valley/Nevada City area, bring the instrumentation of Cohen's most recent touring band with woodwinds, strings, guitars and keyboards and back-up singers. A live recording has resulted and gets regular airings on their excellent community radio KVMR.
